Overview:
Ground Up is my first venture into game design for a team project in a professional environment.
me and a team of 7 others produced a game over a period of 2 months with a 2 week planning period.
it is a round based tower defense with real-time combat were you control a group of humans colonising an alien planet.

Project State:
The development period of Ground Up ended with the project in a mostly feature complete state.
features included were:
- A data driven real-time round based combat system where enemies spawn at the edge of the map and move in to attack your crops.
- A level progression system where more towers are unlocked after each level is beaten.
- Towers that affect high-level gameplay(i.e. a sunflower that lowers the price of all other towers).
- diverse options for different playstyles.
